daisy poems Poems you're on mute

when love comes on

When love comes on,

the air stays warm –

even when the night’s cold

and long. Foundations crumble –

just a sign of moving on.

The tapping on my phone

head bowed, face down

is building – brick by brick –

the quickest way up

to get thoughts down

from the stratosphere

streaming from love’s

ancestral superhighways.
