it happened in

a chance meeting

a blossom of friendship buds

until you said you hate people who think too much

I was suddenly catapulted into the sea

adrift on a sinking dinghy of overthinking

then I went home and thought some more

for hours, days and months I paddled

treading water, drifting away

I came back around, asked

how your day was, you grinned and suddenly

I saw your dreams were mine without words
