do you need some help to remember you’re not broken

or do you need to be an ego-warrior about it?

From the marrow inside bones, to those hard-knock scabs on skin, life is worth the living and dying of love. Skywrite it over the rooftops of your hangover. Think hard, who are you? What will you stand up for? How do you want to be remembered? Did you help save the world, superhero, or did you pull it down to the depths of an ocean of your suffering? Did you not hear the music inside you, subterranean, eight bars of a thousand combinations of l-o-v-e love? Your imagination will not stop seeking answers to the questions of the day. Remember that strength of softness. You are far from self-destruction, so find a way to restore the building gently before getting the demolition ball in. Gather friends instead of enemies. Calibrate your expectations. Dreaming is loving, dream of me from wherever you are (I’ll do the same for you). Attention is love, say hello, attend to me (I’ll do the same for you). Battle-torn, streetwise and patched up, look me in the eye, at least if only to return the favour.
