April fool

You’re an earworm,

an oven burn

and I just don’t get you.

You’re a mid-back tickle,

a mouthful of pickle

and I just don’t get you.

A stone in my shoe,

an eye full of glue

and I just don’t get you.

A mountain to climb,

a song that can’t rhyme

and I just don’t get you.

You’re a pocketful of sand

and a selfie in my hand

and I just don’t get you.

You’re a Poundland spanner,

you’re a night in the slammer

and I just don’t get you.

You’re a punch in the face,

you’re my fall from grace

and I just don’t get you.

You’re the sun in my eyes,

broken veins on my thighs

and I just can’t forget you.
